Tandem is a well-established, financially sound and continually growing company. Tandem and affiliated companies have been in business for over 60 years. We have grown from a one terminal operation in St. Louis, MI to a six terminal operation including facilities in Gaylord, MI, Michigan City, IN (Corporate Office), Chattanooga, TN, Vanlue, OH, and Savannah, GA. Three of the six terminals have a maintenance facility. Originally, we were mainly a Michigan carrier but over the years have expanded and now cover most of the Midwest, South and some Eastern states. We are a full-service carrier capable of shipping anywhere within the 48 contiguous states and Ontario, Canada. However, 95% of our loads are east of the Mississippi.

With our growth in geographic coverage and the placement of strategically located terminal operations. We have a strong presence in key market areas as well as providing more locations and services to our professional drivers.

Another key factor to our growth has been the continued commitment to quality equipment and facilities. We periodically replace our tractors and trailers to maintain late-model, state-of-the-art equipment. This reduces downtime for drivers and reduces maintenance costs for the company. Our “state-of-the-art” office and driver quarters provide all the modern conveniences for drivers (large recreation room, large bedrooms with individual TVs, washer/dryer facilities, and more).
